Both are well tolerated in reported use; injection site irritation is the most common complaint.

All published KPV efficacy data comes from animal and cell studies. Human route standards have not been established, and the commonly discussed 200–500 mcg range is a community convention, not a proven human dose. Validated routes in the literature are oral and topical rather than injected.
